SNL Episode Hosted by Dakota Johnson: The 5 Best Sketches

Saturday Night Live returned this weekend with a new episode hosted by Dakota Johnson and featuring Justin Timberlake as the musical guest. It marked Johnson’s second time hosting SNL, following her inaugural stint in February 2015. Meanwhile, Timberlake took his sixth turn as the show’s musical guest (though he has also hosted and made a number of cameos over the years).

In case you missed it, here were the best five sketches of the evening…

    Roast

Johnson and Please Don’t Destroy get into a back-and-forth roast that includes funny quips about nepotism and the comedy troupe’s recent movie, The Treasure of Foggy Mountain. “I always wanted to meet the Lonelier Island,” Johnson cracked.

    Home Videos

Andrew Dismukes plays a son who discovers a home video chronicling the day his father (Mike Day) learns he is going to have a baby.

    Big Dumb Cups

SNL spoofs the unbelievable popularity of Stanley tumblers: “This is the cup that says I am a virgin and I also have six kids.”

    Weekend Update

Colin Jost and Michael Che dish jokes about the results of Donald Trump’s defamation trial and mental competency and Lily Gladstone’s and Oppenheimer’s Academy Award nominations.
